Every year I search for a WORD to live out with the Lord. God usually gives me a WORD before the start of the New Year. Today, as I was pondering my WORD and seeking, there it was! ABIDE!!

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. John 15:4

At the end of 2016, I started a blog series called “ABIDE” and it spoke to many hearts, including mine. That’s why I believe the Lord is leading me to walk in this word this year. Most of what I write about or share will be focused on this one word, ABIDE. Abiding with the Lord is all about CONNECTING, REMAINING, STAYING PUT with him! If we neglect our relationship with the vine (Jesus) then our nourishment, our life source, will fizzle. Jesus tells us in the above verse that we cannot bear fruit by ourselves we must be abiding with him.

I want to encourage each of you to stay on course and ABIDE with Jesus this coming year! I think it’s the best goal or resolution we could make! I gave up on resolutions years ago and began my journey with the ONE WORD. It helps me stay focused and on task throughout the year focusing on that ONE WORD!

I’m working right now on a free resource, a Spiritual tool to offer you in 2017. It’s an eBook, “Abide Amiga Abide“– 31 days of connecting. This resource will be available sometime in 2017. I don’t want to give an exact date so watch for details.

Let’s be about ABIDING and making 2016 our best year in terms of walking with the Lord.

Do you have a WORD for 2017? If so, share it with us in the comments. I would love to see how God is leading each of you this year.

Father, You desire us to ABIDE with you! You tell us in your Word that apart from You we can do NOTHING! Day by day we need to CLING to you for our nourishment and strength. Thank you that you lead us and guide us and as we REMAIN in you, help us to know your will. We want this New Year to be fruitful so we know we must STAY with you! Help us to bear much fruit because we are connected to YOU! Thank you Father, for your Love, Your grace and Your mercy towards us! We love you!!

Great word! My father use to sing the hymn, Abide with Me at bed time. It has always been a favorite. May we all grow closer to the Lord in this New Year! I’m glad you visited my blog.

Abide is a great word and it’s so important to remember that any fruit we bear comes as a result of abiding in God. I hope you have a great 2017. Thanks for visiting my blog and reading about my word, which is Voice.
